BDU on the 800

Hello people I have noticed BDU have noticed that all traffic for Yucaipa and Morongo Valley have been on the county system. The 3400 unit move up they have 800 MHz radios not sure if they were supplied directly from San Bernardino County or BDU furthermore Calimesa E1 and E201 have been using the 800 to communicate with BDU and Yucaipa rigs.

I've been hearing Highland and Yucaipa (non-fire incidents such as medical and traffic collisions) on the BDUECC TG.
BDU has an account with SBC radio for their own radios on the system. This has been in place for years due to the requirements for paramedic service and base hospital contact on the 800 system. Now it seems they have "more" subscriber radios on the system.

This reminds me of how it rolled out in San Diego County with CalFire SDU (former MVU).

I hope they move everyone over in a similar fashion to how SDU is set up.

I spoke to some BDU guys on 551 and they said they were just testing the system as a pilot.

I think it'll be a "pilot" program that sticks permanently. We'll see soon enough.
