CB P-A (see vid) is okay with silent background and from 30-50’ away. Very low power available for high efficiency horn mounted directly behind grille.

— A generic U880 outputs 4W for PA use (5W for external speaker); both at 10% distortion.

So y’all might also pay attention to the distortion around enunciation as heard. Clarity comes with suitable amplification. Location of speaker and speaker design — as with DRX-901 above left ear in interior — isn’t enough.

— You want to get heard then an amp with appropriate speaker is needed to overcome closed windows with A/C on, and in traffic with everyone’s engines running.

Ones a toy not worth too much, the other type is what most expect when the term public address system is in play.

The effort to have provided links isn’t appearing worth that.

A $14 speaker to try? Go for it.

I had a cheap Radio Shack PA speaker horn back in the 80's..... I had it on the inner fender under the hood pointed down at the road......I talked / whistled at some girls on the side of the road once or twice and found it to be the biggest waste of time and money ever.

not really sure what it could honestly be used for ... other than being foolish.

these idiots with the police siren are going to jail.... I watch a ton of YouTube video's where they find some idiot with a police siren and they turn it on for a second... someone always called the police.. the police always get incredibly pissed off and always grab the idiot slap the cuffs on him and throw him in the cruiser... they are always arrested for impersonating a police officer... and get their lives ruined...... I just never could figure out why anyone would put a police siren or blue or red lights on a vehicle....
I guess sometimes you don't realize what's legal and what's not.

I worked for the State ... Gas and Electric ...and worked on the side of the road daily many times marking utilities in the street..... working on gas leaks.... so I would use my state vehicle with state official plates and block an intersection so I didn't get killed ..... many times I would get a police detail to protect me... my company told me to get some lights for the van... we had flashing light permits for every vehicle... so I put yellow light bars on the roof, front and back... and bought some yellow and white flashing lights for the back bumper and back doors and 4 in the grill.. after I spent a day installing everything... I found out the white lights are illegal in my state.... I worked with police and fire on a daily basis... we actually went out with the fire department on any CO or fire call... so we all worked together ... police and fire thought the lights were great... but the Registry police are some real jerks.. I was always petrified one would give my company a hard time for the white lights... they were BLINDING BRIGHT.... but I see that little van in my town everyday with the lights on all the time.... I still worry my replacement will get in trouble as he forgets to turn them off all the time and drives around with them on.... so I figure someday I'll get a call.... and the company will say, those lights you bought on the company account... did you get them certified for Massachusetts???

this is what I did for lights and copied the install other than buying some incredibly bright roof mounted light bars ... at the 1:00 minute mark you can see the white lights flashing.... who would have thought that would be illegal in some states??? ...I had no idea
