I've documented all the county fire dispatched homes in Pitt county. The only way I knew to do it was Record when the tone went off and then use a program that's free on the Internet and decode the frequency (in HZ). And then put these in my indication G4 pager and they all worked great. I do listen to Washington, and Beaufort County but I don't have any tones for any of the stations there. But this is one way you can do it.

The app that I used is called tone finder. I believe people use this for tuning instruments. It was free. Basically you open the app and you put your phone near the speaker of your scanner or the tone you have recorded and it will tell you what the frequency is in hertz. It works great

Multi agency call with Chocowinity involved toned out as 378.0 | 569.0. Most likely 378.6 | 569.1. I'll update if I seen any changes on future calls. Reception is terrible this morning across the range.

Why not locate an older Uniden BCD396XT, Uniden BC345XT or the Uniden BCD436HP

They are great for decoding fire and ems tones

The BC345XT was the scanner I used to decode the Gaston County Fire Tones. I was using it to decode EMS but they have since took down their old system.

I have all three and they work super great.
