Beginner / Vevay / Switzerland Co. Area / Digital Or Analog

Ok....my parents used to have an old scanner that bit the dust a few years ago.
Thought I'd replace it as my Mom has said she wished she had one again... and would enjoy the local police / EMS / Weather, stuff...I live in Florida

So this whole thing turns out to be a little more complicated than I hoped.
No one seems to have answers for me.
Is Vevay / Switzerland County, Digital or Analog ? I called the police office and all they would tell me was to look on the FCC web site ???????

The Radio Shack where I bought a unit could not tell me either.....
I so have ended up with a :Very complicated to Program"/ expensive digital trunking scanner....that appears to be very complicated and I am not even sure she needs or can use.

So HELP.....can I buy her something simpler ?

They are on the SAFE-T system. You will need a digital scanner to listen in. There is a live feed the covers them, as well as Dearborn and Ohio County, along with ISP:

You can listen in there and hear them on SAFE-T. What scanner do you have? I can send you a file to load into it that will set you up with what you need to listen it.
