just wondering does the Belle of Louisville Company uses walkie-talkies on there day cruise and during the belle of Louisville and cincy going to the race wondering what radio frequency do they use for the different areas

Belle of Louisville is licensed for 464.1375 NFM. License WPAJ742. These would be handheld radios since they are only licensed for 2 watts. I have no idea if they are used for the cruises. They would also be using the VHF marine band frequencies.

They use UHF Business Radios for crew comms. As mentioned above 464.1375 is the frequency they’re licensed for. There radio traffic is sporadic and often not anything exciting.

Any boat to boat traffic would be on the VHF Marine Band. They typically monitor Channel 13 (Port of Louisville) and Channel 16 (USCG Marine Hailing/Distress).
