I'm in NWAR tonight and found a new P25 sysid of "A" hex on 773.33125, with a NAC of 00A, WACN of 92AA2, and both R and Site of 010.
This freq is on WRZF540, licensed to the Bentonville PD. Nothing heard on the other freqs on that license.
I guess Bentonville is leaving the DMR 400MHZ freqs and doing their own system instead of joining AWIN.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Worth plugging the other freqs into your scanner and seeing when they come up.

Now the same info shows on 771.33125 not 773. NAC 00A, WACN 92AA2 etc,
Makes me wonder if I typoed last night. 773.33126 shows as site 6 AWIN as it has before...tho it is also on the WRZF540 license.

They never get along well with others. Didn't they have a NXDN system a few years ago?

I can’t hear Bentonville PD anymore and I found your post about them. I’m trying to figure out what y’all are saying. Can you please describe what you’re saying easier for me? I don’t understand the NAC or what I need to do to hear them again.

Thanks for any help!!

I do know I can hear the Bentonville Police sometimes on their DMR that's listed in the database and sometimes it will tell me the repeaters out of range even though I'm in Bentonville.

that’s strange. I’ve always heard bentonville just fine until now, can’t hear anything from the DMR RR frequencies

Yes that is strange so I don't know what's going on. I do know when they have a Christmas parade going on I could hear one of the city ops on one of the DMR channels That's listed for Bentonville. I can't remember which one. I do know I can hear the fire department get dispatched.

Here's an article I found about them going to the new system plus it also talks about the location the towers are going to be at.

I doubt it's an entirely new system. The article mentions that "The state, Benton County and the cities of Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale use the P-25 system, Metcalf said."

Not AWIN. Could partner with... It will be patched. It's an Harris system, not Motorola. SysID tells tale.

I had the honor of touring the north site, and I have an amateur radio repeater in a tower adjacent to the East Bentonville site. The "company" said no flash photography, but they did chat me up about how they will be doing interop (patching) with both AWIN, the BV NXDN system, and others.

That’s good that they’ll be AWIN or NXDN, so it’ll be something we can listen to, as long as they’re not encrypted. Thanks for that info! Hopefully it will come online soon.

Yes, sounds like they’re going away from DMR.
