Best Scanner for Northern AZ

I'm looking for a new portable scanner as a Christmas present.
I live in Sedona and work in Flagstaff. It appears that an analog trunking scanner would be all that is needed.
Does anyone think that digital will be used in the next 3 to 5 years? I don't want to lock myself into an analog scanner if there is a chance digital will be used in the near future.

While the area is mostly analog now, digital is heavily used by the NPS at Grand Canyon NP. If you can afford it I'd go with a digital unit. But if you find a good deal on a used analog unit, buy it, just don't invest too much in an analog radio that could be suddenly obsolete for you.
