Hi folks,

I've rolled out a beta of the new Mobile Web site:

http://m.broadcastify.com

This should be MUCH easier to use from your mobile devices. The testing here will form the basis for much more "responsive" design work around the entire site, including the primary Web site.

Would love to hear your feedback so far...

Like the look and feel of the new mobile site, one thing I noticed is the "Alert Feeds" doesn't match the alerts shown on the regular site.

@blantonl just out of curiosity, what is the advantage to using the Broadcastify App vs the new mobile website? I currently use the app, but like the new mobile website.

Also, maybe it's just me (my phone's browser) but it makes me enter my login twice each time.

I'm really pleased with how the new Mobile site has worked out. Based on some feedback I've added an auto-play next archive function for the archives (evidently, some folks like to listen to the archives for hours and hours sequentially and the old flash player provided that)

Some other tweaks, graphics changes, etc have been rolled out as well. Super happy with the result so far.

If you haven't checked it out yet, see: http://m.broadcastify.com

Would love to hear any additional feedback.

How do you add an alert on your mobile site? I just looked to add one and couldn't find it, had to use regular site.

Look's nice on my s7! I would like a app to do alerts on the fly it would be alot easier then using the site on mobile when away from the pc.
That can be accomplished with the scanner radio app.

Very nice! I would offer a suggestion to drop the "m" url prefix and make it a mobile responsive site, similar to these forums.

It looks like accessing the archives on a regular computer now redirects to the beta mobile website. One thing that has become more difficult with this change is reduced ability to quickly download multiple blocks of audio from the archives. I believe previously one was able to quickly swap between 30 minute blocks and download them without having to load a new page. Now one has to select an individual block, download the file, return to the previous page, and repeat.

I’ve got a solution for this coming soon that you’ll like, state tuned.

This is the direction that we’re moving towards. The mobile Web site that we’ve rolled out is our first step and a playground to experiment with responsive technologies that become much more pervasive across the entire RadioReference.com “network” of sites - Broadcastify, RadioReference, and a soon to be named 3rd “leg” of the RadioReference tripod which is coming later this year.
