I'm working on an beta version of a new Web based player that I would like everyone to test. Let me know what issues you see.... there willl be many

This new player has alpha tags supported in the browser. Better look and feel, responsiveness etc. Mobile support for lock screens and background audio. Should reconnect when brought into the foreground during network changes (Wifi to cellular etc)

Ex:

Code:
Link: https://m.broadcastify.com/webPlayerTest/?feedId=32602

Replace the feedId with your favorite feedId to test.

I'm looking for folks to test in mobile and desktop web browsers. When you make a report on how well things are working, or reporting bugs or unexpected results please let me know the Operating system you are using, the browser you are using, and version and details to recreate the issue. Let's see what you can find.

On my feed id 17469, it keeps stopping... reconnecting... ready. Indianapolis seems to work fine though.

Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.2715
Microsoft Edge Version 119.0.2151.72 (Official build) (64-bit)

Same issues above without any sound at all
Android 10 Build Number QPG30.82-141-15-4
Google Chrome 119.0.6045.163

You haven’t told me what I asked for in reports. 😂

When you make a report on how well things are working, or reporting bugs or unexpected results please let me know the Operating system you are using, the browser you are using, and version and details to recreate the issue.

I like it, have been looking for alpha tags for desktop for a while... My first (and only, at this point) suggestion is to get the alpha tag line to scroll, or widen it. I alias the dispatch consoles & identified subscriber IDs on SDRTrunk, and in this example just "op6" is cut off after the ID. With ProScan we can change the alpha tag formatting, but can't with SDRTrunk, so if it could scroll or be widened - that would be fantastic!

Tell me a little bit about how you are broadcasting your feed? What does your feed broadcast setup look like?

Latest version of SDRTrunk streaming to both Calls and Legacy feeds. Windows 10 computer, stable system restarted every day for best performance. Been supplying feeds using this computer for the last 2 years without issue. Broadcasting Fire/EMS only as LE is slowly going to ENC, so feed is not overloaded.

On the out of town sites I have tried here in Texas, getting the tags on about half of them, I am sure this is due to the setup on each system. The volume is louder and clearer and that's good. Really helps to know who is talking when listening to an area you are not familiar with and multiple depts. in the feed, which has always been a draw back for me on Broadcastify.

Win10 and Firefox (latest updates)

Get Invalid feed id on phone on both chrome and firefox (Android Moto One Ace)

For some reason wouldn't work when I typed link into address bar on phone, sent link to myself, and came right up.

Might actually set up a BroadCastify site for my area now since folks can see the ID's now.

Been monitoring 6 feeds at the same time for the last 3 1/2 hours, reporting no glitches or hangs during this period. Sure nice to see tags on whose is talking.

Or move the alpha tag to a separate line.

Would it be possible to add the Hour marker to the running time?
Sure, no problem. Done.

I've also added two lines for metadata alpha tags. Doing some further tweaking today.

I've also added a button link to the beta player on each feed page on Broadcastify Mobile Home (the mobile site)

firefox mac in desktop mode its working, although alpha tags seem delayed. But that may be on my end, i had a similar problem on the ios premium app.
Sending link to both my iphone and android devices for testing later today.

Just noticed yesterday while listening to Jefferson County, Texas feed (and other feeds) that the alpha tags were being cut off at the top and sometimes bottom when three lines were being displayed. This is happening on the PC (Desktop and Laptop), and android phone and tablet using both Chrome and Firefox. Other than that anomaly all seems to be working well.

So far, on a Win 10 machine in Chrome, have not had any issues with it. @blantonl, I know it is still in beta so please don't bash me to hard for asking this, but will this eventually replace the current HTML5 player and will we be able to embed like we can now here in the near future?
