Bluetooth help

yes i press bluetooth and see connect new device but u dont want to connect another phone. I think im doing it rite per lame instructions but just cant seem to connect

I accomplished this with an FM transmitter. A lot more idiot-proof (I am the idiot, not anyone else)... just plug it into power, tune to the fm channel you pick. I found one that has bluetooth and aux input so you could go different ways/ different devices.

i guess im going back to the auxilary cable. wanted to do away with cable but just cant figure this transmiter out. heres what i was doing plugged the c28 into headphone jack of gre-500 put into tx mode transmitter mode turned on device long press per directions flashing red light indicating its ready for pairing. turned scanner on and it says it will automatically connect. well this is the problem it does not connect. if any one has any thoughts on if im missing something that would be great. since its spose to be in the transmitter mode i guess it dosent need to be connected to bluetooth which would be the reciever mode and i did try it that way to with no luck.when i tried to go to bluetooth on car its just showing to connect another device which is phone which i dont want. anyway thanks again for any ones help

The transmitters bluetooth should be able to connect to another bluetooth device on its own so lets take the scanner out of the equation. Take the transmitter to the car and do what you did to get it into pairing mode. Then hit the menu button on the car radio and go into bluetooth. The car should see the c28 the same way it would see a cell phone.

in some cases, you can not get things to pair up as they were not meant to.
like the radio may only 'see' phones and nothing else.

ok heres what happens turn c28 transmitter on wait till it flashes red fast then press btooth heres what comes up registered devices- connect phone- connect audio player- detailed btooth settings i have tried with all settings it does not see the c28 device. Thank you for all help its much appreciated i guess this was just not meant to be. Thanks again for all help

Do you own anything else that has Bluetooth? Like a bluetooth speaker? If so, try to connect the C28 to that. Its possible the C28 you received is a dud.

i just got it to connect with co workers btooth speaker.so dave when i got to bluetooth and those 4 or 5 settings come up should i do nothing and wait and see if it pairs because before i was pressing the bluetooth and the other settings ???
