Alternating Gradient Synchrotron
Description
The Alternating Gradient Synchrotron is a particle accelerator located at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, New York, United States. The Alternating Gradient Synchrotron was built on the innovative concept of the alternating gradient, or strong-focusing principle, developed by Brookhaven physicists. Wikipedia
And RHIC is,
The Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider is the first and one of only two operating heavy-ion colliders, and the only spin-polarized proton collider ever built. Wikipedia

thats not the Lab....
Ohhh , I always thought it was lol. Any idea what it is?thats not the Lab....
Logging and recording is key. On the freq I posted, they mentioned ext 7400. Googled bnl phone directory and they do have a 631 xxx 74xx number.I did copy engineers
on 408.2375 this morning discussing "AGS" but I beleive that is something different
like a automatic generator system or similar cause they said "It cooled down now"
I live next to it thats not the lab I think Pro your seeing Stony Brook Hospital I,m from CT.Ohhh , I always thought it was lol. Any idea what it is?
Have to do some close call snooping. Is that pic from today? Water looks choppy. If I get the boat on the north shore next summer think I wil bring laptop and dongles. Bet there's more rf in there.

Thanks for that Marcy! I always assumed it was BNL considering the size and some other neighbors opinions.I live next to it thats not the lab I think Pro your seeing Stony Brook Hospital I,m from CT.
Milford/Brideport and seen this from where I worked at Farfield University 15 years...Marcy
That 408.2375 freq is new to me. I just heard them , sounds like security ("missing govt. property report"). Did you catch a tone or anything else?but I did copy engineers on 408.2375 this morning discussing "AGS"
I caught them very early this morning like 530 am around there (could not sleep!) vy weakThat 408.2375 freq is new to me. I just heard them , sounds like security ("missing govt. property report"). Did you catch a tone or anything else?
I set up my radio for tone search so it will catch it on the next xmsn. Sounds like analog , but simplex. Maybe the input to a repeater? Only heard one side. Played back the recording to make sure.
Sorry I was way off on my assumption of the meaning of AGS, but I did copy engineers

OK it is DPL 152That 408.2375 freq is new to me. I just heard them , sounds like security ("missing govt. property report"). Did you catch a tone or anything else?

I copied a YL before but vy weak hr nothing like this morning (weaker) maybe it is over your wayOK it is DPL 152
Its the input to a repeater. Only hearing dispatch side. Maybe VA hospital somewhere. VA here in West Haven is P25. And I know it's not the input to that for other reasons. Signal strength is a 9.5 out of 10. As strong as the other BNL freqs. so it could be them, but it really sounds like security of some type. And BNL security is on the other known P25 freq. Someone stuck in an elevator and missing property conversations so far.
Have to keep listening.
When I copied this morning it was engineers discussing AGS!
If we are talking about 408.2375, @Marcy57 is not all that far from the Northport VA, but if AGS was heard, I would take BNL over a VA hospital as I do not think the VA would be discussing AGS over the air, which in medical terms is Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome. A rare genetic disorder that affects the brain, spinal cord and immune system.OK it is DPL 152
