Hi,
I’ve done some research but can’t figure out what MRC stands for when there is the security zone escorting vessels into and out of the harbor. Boston TacCom MRC is the callsign.

I believe it's PATCOM, but I dont know what it stands for. And MRC may be the name of the radio channel they are using. What channel are you hearing it on?

The MRC patch to CoMIRS is on TG 269.

Ya, I've never personally logged that talkgroup, so I can't include it

CoMIRS TG 269 is sometimes also heard on the Metro Boston 700 Overlay site and one day last February I heard the MRC patch on analog equivalent TG 4304 on MSP analog zones 1, 5, 8 and 22.
