FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Date: 11/18/10 Time: 1800
Just after 4:30pm troopers responded to a head-on crash at Highway 170 (Marshall Rd.) and S. Cherryvale Rd. This crash occurred when a red Cadillac Eldorado travelling westbound entered the eastbound lanes of Marshall Rd. and struck a light blue Hyundai Sonata. A Boulder County Deputy attempted to contact the Cadillac just prior to the crash. The driver of the Cadillac fled the scene on foot and was apprehended by Boulder County Deputies; the driver sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger of the Hyundai was also transported with unknown injuries..
Currently both directions of Highway 170 are closed between S. Cherryvale Rd. and 66th St.
