advanced speciaities also said they would being discontinued also please be free to give them a call 1800 926-9426.RobnzBoy said:If you look again at the posting on the Yahoo group, it said:
According to CEI the BR330T is discontinued.

That ad didn't say specifically say that Uniden wasn't making the
BR330T any longer.
Instead, it said:
"The BR330T is sold out and discontinued at Communications Electronics."
Maybe I'm just holding out some false hope, but maybe that means that
CEI just isn't selling the BR330T any longer.
I went to Uniden's website and they are still listing the BR330T right
along with all their other scanners.
Why would Uniden come out with new firmware if they were planning to
discontinue to BR330T?
I think the BR330T is an awesome radio, and I predict it will be
produced for many years to come.
i always like your reviews ...safetyobc said:The BR330T is a much better scanner than the BC246T.
- It has 100 quick keys versus 10.
- 2500 channels versus 1600.
- Extended coverage (including MilAir)
- Fire Tone Out
I think the price ruins a lot of people. They aren't willing to spend the extra $50 to get the BR330T versus the BC246T. If the price of the BR330T were dropped to the $200 range, it would sell better I think.

Correction to your list: both support up to 2500 channels.safetyobc said:The BR330T is a much better scanner than the BC246T.

Update: The above statment is correct. The BC246T and SC230 use more memory when a channel has a text tag; the 300-series and mobile scanners always have the maximum number of channels available, regardless of whether text tags are present.safetyobc said:True, but only without adding text.nonposter said:Correction to your list: both support up to 2500 channels.
nonposter said:That's true for the "maximum number of channels" spec for any Uniden DMA scanner.
I learned something new today.UPMan said:It is only true of the BC246T and SC230.
