Did I program something wrong or is the Brandmeister network in New York just not that active?

Also, is there anyone out there who has a list of RadioIDs?

Brandmeister statewide like 3136 have a 10 minute time limit, imposed by the rulers of the network. You can’t talk freely. If you go over the limit or talk about “taboo” topics the administrators will ban you. So…not much traffic on the state wide TG. Then people wonder why nobody’s talking on the TGs and repeaters.

Is it possible these frequencies for the repeaters are changed without updating the database?

There is a Southern Tier New York net every Sunday at 7PM ET on Brandmeister TG31367 and Wires-X Room 83721. Good bunch of operators on this net, it has been around for awhile.

They also have a Listing of Nets on their site that have quite an extensive listing of various nets in many modes. Check them out.

What repeater(s) are you attempting to access? Also, do you have digital monitor (promiscuous) mode enabled? If not you would need to create a receive talkgroup for the channel. Lastly, and most important, what DMR radio are you using?

I'm using my Uniden SDS100, and I have the repeaters for Erie County and Niagara County in northwest New York.

Looking at Repeaterbook.com-Niagara County it does not look like there are many DMR amateur radio repeaters in the area.

You can access the Brandmeister Hoseline to listen to any of the in use Brandmeister Talkgroups (NOTE: New York State talkgroups typiclly start with 3136xx.

If you would like to listen to other DMR systems Digital Frequency Search will list all of the current FCC licensed DMR repeaters.

Or, you can utilize the RadioReference Database for all listings in your area. This would be the most accurate/up to date list because it it user supported, meaning the list has been verified in use at the time it was submitted.

Good luck in listening.
