700 Block North 2nd. Garage on fire next to a mobile home. Quint 1, Medic 1, Engine 2, Rescue 3 and 54. Quint 1 reporting heavy smoke from 3 blocks away.

Medic 1 is out of service. Making plug for Quint 1.

Quint 1 has two charged lines working. Engine 2 is on scene and assiting Quint 1. Quint 4 is staged at other end of block, with officer and firefighting walking in to assist.

Fire out. Medic 1 and Quint 4 released. Other units in mop up.

In Salina, all Engines and Quint run a 4 man crew composed of an Officer, Engineer, and two firefighters. Rescue and Ladder (Areial Platform) share a 2 man crew, of a Lieutenant and Engineer. Based on type incident they pick which truck to take. Ladder always has a two man crew. Rescue truck will some times take a Fire Fighter off Engine 3 to make a 3 man crew.

Short time ago Medic 1 returned to the fire scene and transported the home owner to the emergency room. Medical problems, not a result of fire injuries.
