Hello RR Bristol fire department is now operating full time on RISCON talk group 1744 They can still be heard on their anolog frequency 154.14500 CTCSS 114.8 simulcast but I believe that anolog will be discontinued As of now I only hear them on the RISCON East tower

Bristol Fire appears to be doing some testing/maintenance today on their VHF-High channel (154.1450 Repeater with PL 114.8). They tone alerted both Fire and Rescue this morning and advised all units to "go to channel 2." Channel 2 is their repeater talk around channel so when they operate in that mode you can only hear the mobiles/portables if you are in relatively close proximity.

I can also confirm hearing their VHF-High to RISCON patch on TG 1744 as RR member DH11 posted above. From my monitoring so far, I have only heard TG 1744 come up on the East Zone. YMMV

Hey Bill,

Yes, they are still VHF primary. TG 1744 is only authorized for the East Zone.

If you need any more info, let me know....

All set, wanted to confirm before rumors/bad information starts getting shared.
