17203 is fire incident 2) (1702 is fire incident 1) there's also another one 17221 that's also a fire Channel but unsure it might be training also for PD 17150 is in the clear you only hear the dispatch talk not the police officers also 17108 is in the clear also 17399 might be Citywide emergency heard the police dispatcher talking to the water department on this I'd PD was also talking to the water department on 17305 this is definitely the water department

I submitted the new system to RR. Once it is in we could start adding any new Talk Groups we confirm.

I have 15 TG's but no idea what most are. Even during the day they don't talk much. Mostly office talk I have no clue of.

Can the bcd436 be updated from the RR database when they update it through the senital software

Added the new system tonight and deprecated the old one - as when I signed in there was about 5 submissions on this.

Until I can go back and find the ruling from the bosses, I am only going to add the two police talkgroups that have known names/functions to them. I did add a note in the police category that all police talkgroups are encrypted full time.

There is/was a debate on the admin staff if a bunch of unknown - but known - talkgroups in a specific range can be added to the database with generic names. The general policy is to only add in talkgroups that are confirmed. Obviously those that are encrypted - you cannot have them confirmed unless someone on the inside can make a TG to a function.

I think the DB is downloaded by uniden three times a week. I know they do it Sunday night/Monday morning, so if you have a HP-x of x36 product you may need to wait that long. Its a Uniden thing, not a RRDB thing.

As you discover new talkgroups and can *confirm* its use, please use the submit tab and I or another admin will get them in as we see them.

What is the control channel for the old system that you are hearing EMS on? They were supposed to be removing the old system from the radio programming so you shouldn't be getting any analog CC or analog voice.

chris

did ems switch over yet? I was still hearing some calls on the old system

I hadnt changed any of the programing in my 600 yet so it would have been on the orginal system. From what I understood they were leaving both in the radios for a bit as a backup. Im looking at new scanners for my feed so i can get the tdma groups.

Well, you can’t get the old system if the new system reused all the old freq - there wouldn’t be two control channels assigning the same voice channels.

The PSR600 I believe was released as a phase 1 scanner. I’m not familiar with it so I don’t know if it is/was upgradable to phase 2.

I am not sure if all the traffic is Phase 2 or not. I haven't run UniTrunker on it yet.

There is something that Uniden shows as a P25 CC on Bristol's 856.4125 but I get no system id. At the same time, the regular P25 CC is active on 859.9625 (0941h-101).

If they are using DDM to be able to use P1 only radios, that could be a reason to see P1 tg
