Broadcast FM filter

Has anyone tried these cheap filters on Amazon. I could never hear the starcom towers where I live because of a FM station about 5 blocks from me. I saw these on Amazon cheap so I though what the heck. I will try one. Well I now have them on 4 scanners and hearing stuff I could not hear. I was like WOW!!
