Yeah, as stated above, a small allen wrench will do the trick. It's an SAE size, not metric. I forget which size it is, but if you don't have a set, go by your local hardware store and you should be able to just buy the wrench you need. My brain is telling me 5/32nd's, but don't trust me on that.
As for the whip, you can purchase replacement whips.
