Which software program are you trying to use, and what version is it?

That's the same version of FreeSCAN that I am using. If you are getting a 'connection error' message, then either your firewall or antivirus is blocking the connection, or perhaps your copy of FreeSCAN has somehow gotten corrupted. I think I would start by downloading a fresh copy of FreeSCAN & installing that. If that does not solve the issue, then try temporarily turning off your firewall and anti-virus to see if you can connect. If it works with those temporarily disabled, then see if your firewall/anti-virus has the option to white list FreeSCAN (i.e. shows it as safe and ok to connect to an external site).
