Does anyone know if Buckley Air Force has a medical helicopter that flies up in RMNP to help on Recues or Recovery's? If so, do you know what frequency they would use up in Larimer County? Would they use the same frequency in all of Larimer County?

What about National Guard? I heard Larimer County Fire Net on 154.385. I could hear Larimer County good they Landed them up by Jackson County about 3 weeks ago but never did hear National Guard talk. National Guard also were supposed to go on Air 2 Air with Lifeline 1 but never heard either one and I think that was on 123.025.

That could potentially be the 135th Aviation Regiment or 168th Aviation Regiment that are stationed at Buckley.

I would expect them to communicate with ATC for the area in which they are flying, as needed. I don't know if those aircraft are equipped with ADS-B for tracking. My guess would be they are using either VMED28 (155.34 156.7), SMPX1 (851.1 $293), or VSAR16 (155.16 127.3) to communicate during any search/landing.

In addition to Buckley, what about Fort Carson? I have a small mini computer here watching aerial traffic over the northern Colorado skies via the ever so popular adsbexchange website and I've seen on a few occasions blackhawk helicopters make the trip from Fort Carson up to KFNL and around northern Colorado. One night at about 02:00 I saw a blackhawk hovering over Horsetooth reservoir.

So with that being said, would Fort Carson have anything to do with mountain rescues as well?

Two talk groups on the State DTRS system. #1228 and 1229 are used by Buckley NG helos for coordination with RMNP. Not used often but I have heard them on those talk groups. ID'd as Hawk 1 and Hawk 2.
