alot of them are outdated or companies no luck run the services
Well they do in Melbourne. Maybe program the frequencies and do a TGID search and see what you find.

Which particular Bus Company are you looking for. Have you also tried a ACMA Frequency search or ACMA company search

I agree with the other post above, many of the bus companies in Sydney use the Orion DMR network, including CDC, Transit Systems, and I believe Busways, amongst several others.

I checked out an old Orion Network setup and located the following Sydney Bus Services

Busabout
Busways
Cumberland Coachlines
Kastoria Bus Lines
Premier Illawarra Bus Services
Transdev NSW
Transit Systems

Are any of the above the companies that you are looking for

The Orion network is dead where I am (Newcastle area). I used to be able to monitor it fine with my Whistler TRX-1 & TRX-2. I reprogrammed my Whistler scanners with all the DMR voice frequencies but no go - nothing heard. Will try with my 436PT and see what happens.

I suspect the frequencies have changed and this might explain why I'm hearing no traffic.

When you programmed the frequencies did you also have the appropriate LCNs and Colour codes for a MotoTRBO system.

Without these toh most likely won't hear any transmissions.

I do have some details on my home computer. Let me know what frequencies your using and I will see what I have.

Whistler scanners do not do true trunk tracking with DMR Tier III/MotoTRBO systems - they only scan the voice frequencies looking for voice traffic.

I programmed the relevant voice frequencies for the Orion DMR network from the NSW database found on this site.

It is highly possible that the frequencies on this site are out off date, going back to what you mentioned about Frequencies may have changed. I would recommend using your 436PT, you will have better success with that scanner

I concur, Newcastle region Orion network is dead based on the programming information on this forum visible to a non suscriber. I'm not a local and tried to set it up to listen to whilst in town this last two weeks. Sites Sugarloaf, Somersby, Cooks Hill, little to nothing. On limited review, and assuming the site frequency licence holder is also the local network provider, by ACMA search, it seems bandplan and frequency changes at minimum. Unfortunately I was all but sitting next door to John Renshaw Dr site unawares it was Orion site so missed the best opportunity to learn the system again.

I’d love to work off information submitted to keep the DB active, however no one really submits anything, and what is submitted often is sub-par quality and guesses. rather than confirmed information. I can’t update the database off guesses and half-filled info
