Does anyone have the Calfire Command and Tac talkgroup pairings? Trying to program a Unication G5, and you have to program the scan lists from the software. Waning to pair each command and tac into their own channel position. :)

There are no specific parings of Command and TAC Nets in a traditional sense. Each unit has a Command Net and TACS assigned for Initial Attack. If the fire goes extended, the Comm Unit will generate the Communications plan with input from the GACC. At that point, anything can be put together.

This Q would be specific to the Calfire RCS trunking zones 10 and 11.

CDF only uses VHF in San Diego for large wildfire incidents...otherwise, they have 28 talkgroups on the RCS for normal operations.

Ummm No, for a couple of years now.

The County Fire Authority Zones (10 and 11) have the following designated talkgroups:
10A, Dispatch; 10B, Admin; 10P Emergency, 11A, Travel (ALL RCS Fire agencies); 11P, Emergency.

Talkgroups 10C through 10N and 11B through 11N are dynamic in assignment, as required.

I remember back in the day, the assigments had an order, such as 10E Cmd 10F Tac, or 11H Cmd 11I Tac, sort of like Heartland or Metro. I lost track of the order, but remember someone posted a list a year or more ago, where it showed the commands and tacs per battalion and area. I can't find it now though.

If there is one currently, you would need to get it from the MVIECC.

This is what I have. Based on CalFire Monte Vista battalion areas and assumed County Fire Authority AORs within or around those areas. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of it though. It's gathered from info from the thread you mentioned, documents I've read, and general experience listening to RCS. It might be outdated or just flat wrong.

Batt 1/7 North County (Rainbow, Red Mtn, De Luz, Miller, Valley Center, Rincon, Del Dios)
CMD: 10C Tacs: 10D-10E

Batt 5/8 North/East County (Ramona, Witch Creek, Julian, Cuyamaca, Warner Springs, Puenta La Cruz, La Cima)
CMD: 10G Tacs: 10F-10H

Both of the Above areas share the rest of the Zone 10 Channels. Looks like 10I and 10L are command channels.

Batt 2/6 East County (MVU, Gillespie, Flinn Springs)
CMD: 11F Tacs: 11G-11H

Batt 3/4 South/East County (Lyons Valley, Dulzura, Potrero, Campo, White Star, Mccain Valley)
CMD: 11C Tacs: 11D-11E

Both of the above areas share the rest of the Zone 11 Channels. 11I and 11L are command channels.

As stated, 10A is Dispatch, 10B is Admin, 11A is the Travel channel. 10P and 11P are Emergency.

Hearing a fire truck to dispatch in North County on 10B, working as a command channel, asking his engineer to "go to Charlie". I know 10E and 10K are common command channels that I hear. I guess I need to start making a little Notepad list as I hear them.

Here is what I've logged so far.

Command/Tac
10B/10C North County (Vegitation Fire-Bonsall)
10E/10F North County (Medical Aid-Ramona)
11B/11C North County (Medical Aid-Escondido)
11E/11F East County (Medical Aid-Lake Morena)
11H/11I East County (Vehicle Rescue-Jamul)

So looks like pairings are B/C/D, E/F/G, H/I/J, K/L/M, N spare...I don't know how the zones work 10 vs 11, I used to be able to rely on 10's being north and 11's being south/east, but that doesn't appear to be holding these days. Admin seems to just take place on 10A, they are always yapping about status, and still alarms.
