Sites still requiring confirmation (alternate CCs, neighbors, and NAC):
Mammoth Lakes FS1
Big Valley Mountain
I have attached a PDF version of my spreadsheet that I have been trying to keep updated with CRIS site information. The sites at the bottom of the list are the ones that have been licensed but have not been confirmed as active yet.
I am planning a 10 day trip to California in a few months with the hope of getting to as many sites as possible. My plan is to start in San Diego and work my way up the coastal area then down the western valley area, back up the eastern valley/western Sierra area and back down the eastern Sierra/desert area and back to San Diego.
Happen to be in the area today.
Here is what I gathered from SDR-Trunk
Squeezing all that in may be something of a challenge, depending on what else you plan on doing.... This is the only plan. I lived in California for 30 years so I'm aware of the challenge. Some people go on vacation to see the sights, I go on vacation to see the sites.Squeezing all that in may be something of a challenge, depending on what else you plan on doing.![]()
I go on vacation to see the sites.
I'm seeing new control channels coming up for Hoadley Peak (Site 86 in Shasta), 159.232500 MHz and 159.157500 MHz.
That’s what I saw too but for some reason trunk-recorder wanted to tune to them even though they weren’t defined as control channels. It’s something I’ll look into. Those will be the inputs.
SBCO SO were testing the system a few months ago, didn't sound great lots of break ups between TX and of course they don't have a site in south county yet.FLASH forward 8 years!
