I've been having issues with the duplicate detection dropping parts of conversations because they key up too quickly to respond. I don't run into as much with my analog calls since the squelch tail usually catches when they key up immediately. But it's very prominent with our local fire departments on PEI that use APPSN (Atlantic Provinces Public Safety Network), it constantly drops parts of conversations. It would be great if we could work towards better detection.
I find it frustrating when, let's say, a call that is 12 seconds long gets dropped because it started too quickly after a 5-second call. At least that's what it usually feels like.
I would love to know the current logic for determining whether a call is a duplicate, so I can better understand what I'm seeing.
