Can't pick up local sheriff's department

I can pick up everything but my local sheriff department everyone I know has same scanner can mine use to then I reprogrammed it any ideas I got a uniden trunktracker bcd996t

What Sheriffs Department? Your Local Sheriff may or may not be available with your 996T. But Again..what department? Greg

So many different possibilities (encryption, simulcast distortion, inaccurate data on database are just a few) but we cannot come to a conclusion without knowing where your local Sheriff Dept is, for starters

If you can "pick up everything else", then perhaps the sheriffs are encrypted. Again..where are you?

If it is a county sheriff, we have to know your county and state to check if you are able to receive it.

If others with the same radio are NOT having a problem, why not ask them for their programming and install it in your radio?
