Good afternoon folks just wondering I have a DMR software in my scanner and I see Carowinds I have those numbers programmed in it my scanner, but it’s not popping up DMR it’s nothing but I get signal. Just wondering how can I fix this?
Sorry for the late reply just let you know it doesn’t pop up DMR. It used to pop up with NXDN not DMR it’s weird. How can I fix this problem? Any ideasHow do you have your scanner programmed exactly? Do you have the proper TGs entered along with the frequency?
Also, is there actual voice traffic when you are listening? A lot of conventional DMR repeaters transmit "idle" data periodically when there is no traffic. Your scanner may display "DMR," but you will not hear anything in that case. At least that is how it is on my Unidens.
I don’t think soJust a thought; it's is off-season. Is the traffic encrypted?
This might be a silly question, but have you ever successfully received traffic from Carowinds? Depending on where you are in Gaston County, it is possible you are out of range. Seeing NXDN pop up instead of DMR makes me think you might be receiving traffic from another user besides Carowinds.Sorry for the late reply just let you know it doesn’t pop up DMR. Once again, from post #9:Can you please show me how to do that
Quick Search from a New FrequencyPress CHANNEL key, dial in frequency, press CHANNEL key again.
I’m not hearing it NXDN it’s just popping up in the corner. It’s not showing DMR.What frequency are you monitoring for Carowinds that you are hearing NXDN on?
Yall do know that Carowinds frequencies and department numbers are listed in the "Companies" listing in York County in South Carolina, right? If you are seeing NXDN in the corner, then you are indeed picking up a NXDN signal.
I'm sure the OP is aware. If he's picking up NXDN it's likely from a different station closer to him transmitting on the same frequency(ies). Quite possible given that the OP reports to be 31 miles away from the target licensee (Carowinds)Yall do know that Carowinds frequencies and department numbers are listed in the "Companies" listing in York County in South Carolina, right?
