Sure would. Unicorns kick like crazy when you start drilling holes for the ball mount.

Oh snap, you reminded me of when Linden replaced the old Unicom radio and I was waiting to take it off their hands and use it for monitoring. Some CBer got his hands on it, tried to convert it to 11M and naturally ended up destroying it... oh well.

Convert a crystal CB to Unicom? Why destroy a valuable classic when the whole is worth more than the sum of its parts?

And reversing the Crystals in the older CB Radios on Ch. ?? [Anyone remember] got you onto the Civil Air Patrols 26.62 Mhz AM Frequency.

I had a hallicrafters CB 19 Back in 1969 I could reverse the RX TX Crystals in be on 10 Meter AM.

Only half way, the tunable receive had to be tweaked and transmitter peaked and WB2UZD made his first QRP contact with Georgia, USSR. (;->)
