Update on the plane situation. The plane was contracted out to take pictures. Dispatcher said the FAA contacted the company that owned the plane and some ppl were taking pictures to sell. The officer quickly came back with foward the info on that company to my mobile. You could tell he was going to give them a call and ream them out for not notifying the city.

Urban Warrier freqs from 1999

do you know any freqs that will be active?

I'm monitoring from downtown Richmond City.

These were active in 1999 and could be a starting point for the bands and ranges.

Hopewell Police Department (dispatch center is in there) took a direct hit by lightning a few minutes ago. Knocked all the computers out. Right now they are operating on handheld radios and thats it. I've heard them dispatch a few calls out and say we are unable to give you cross streets at this time.

It was some plane that was contracted out to take pictures to sell. The cop taking the report ended up reaming the company out for not notifying the city I believe because the FAA found out thats what they were doing and he said foward that companies info to my mobile (you could tell he wasn't happy)

Everything was back up at the PD within an hour or so. I know someone that saw it hit and said it just directly hit the building. I know the bowling alley has been hit by lightning several times. Its been a while but the last time it did it ruined like 8 of the automatic scoring monitors.

VSP was in pursuit of a lady on 295 southbound. They said earlier the lady rammed and injured a division 2 unit. She tried mutiple times to ram the units. They ended up pitting her on the 460 exit.

Edit: I don't know what she did earlier to that trooper but they said the lady had a trooper hat in the car. Essex county has menal papers on the lady.

Edit 2: No injuries in this part of the pursuit. Damage to one of the cruisers, said he needs a new push bumper. Said it was on the second ramp which would be exit 3a 460 east.

Did Henrico join that chase at some point? I heard something about it on their East channel but the pursuing officer terminated after a little while.

They may have (it was coming down 295 south) so they may have been in the chase in the Varina area. I know Prince George had a unit involved at one point. It would make since if he terminated as they left the county as they had plenty of troopers already involved.

Its an extremely wild night in Hopewell. Anything from a home invasion, vehicle pursuit, fight in progress (units watched it break out), shots fired, robbery, and a foot pursuit. All of this has happened in the past 45 minutes to an hour.

This is lovely. Just had a call of someone that was threatened to be killed by two people with guns. The BOL is 2 juviniles between 13 and 15. Sad that kids would do something like that.

No this was another wreck that was on Iron Bridge Road. I heard this one. They couldn't get any of the medical helicopters to land (I think visibility was a little low.) They ended up with one refusal, one red, and one yellow.

Edit: The train wreck happened around 22:30. The one you are talking about happened around 00:45 or so.

I was at Pocahontas last night listening when the train vs. car accident occured. They had called Med-Flight to respond to the scene, but Command told dispatch to cancel them stating Ambulance 14 was already enroute to MCV with one. They didn't give a condition or anything. They extricated them very quickly also. I'd say within 5-10 they got the victim out. After about and hour or so units were returning to quarters.

Oh okay. I'm off Spring Run Road in Clover Hill Farms. I was camping at Pocahontas this weekend just to "get away from it all" (even if it was only 10 minutes away). I'm an avid railfan and when I heard communications dispatch Company 1 and all those other units for an MVA car vs. train, all I could think was "Oh, no...". Thank God it wasn't a freight train...
