Centre County getting new system

I don't listen to Centre County, but I came across this article and thought it would be of interest.

They're not getting a new system, they already have a countywide P25 system...they're getting new subscriber radios, just as the article details.

Flea baying parts? And I’d hate to be going to a working fire hoping my duct tape and rubber bands keep things in one piece. That’s a big safety issue. Yikes.

They must have a good chunk of agencies still using XTS/XTL radios. Motorola discontinued support for those radios back in 2017 so I can see why they would need to use eBay to acquire parts.
