Still talking about not being able to do stuff. Keep referring to trunking and then trying something on just the Jessup site. Testing thongs on certain talkgroups. They are playing some sort of demo tape of a lady demonstrating a product on tg 18320.

Is that the tape talking about soldering or something with guys in the background making commentary?
I didn't necessarily listen to what the recording was about but that sounds right. The techs were back and forth between their two TG'S doing adjustments as the recording played.
I didn't hear them in the background but could have been. They were talking back and forth on the other tg while the recording played. Kept talking about continuously getting lower and lower readings they were having to report for channel 10. It was getting embarrassing. Channel 10 reading up better today.

We are getting the soldering instruction audiotape again today on tag 18352 along with other strange sounds as the techs are tweaking g again.

The Radio System Infrastructure maintenance and support will be at the end
of its service life in FY16. Parts and service will not be available for the
County system which is critical for Public Safety. The original system
installation was in 2001 and has served the County well for 15 years. The
impact on the operating budget is indeterminate at this time.

Per a Press Release from AACoFD, Station 41 will now have an ALS Ambulance. The ALS ambulance replaces the BLS ambulance that was stationed there.
AACo FD Tac 5 is patched to Marine channel 81 this morning. Channel 81 is a USCG channel.
Update: Seems that there is an interagency drill today. AACo FD ground and marine units, USCG Aux heard so far, with channel 81 patched to Tac 5 (Golf.) Command using the identifier "Tatcom" or "Taccom." Also using SOP2 (India.) Apparently also north and south divisions as controllers.

That will be it. Also hearing an USCG AuxAir helicopter on patrol in a different Sector (not Baltimore) using 81, but heard via the Tac5 / Golf patch. Unrelated to the event, but Millersville seems to have a good marine radio receiver / antenna.
12I is being used by AAPD Aviation & other support units.
I wonder if that marine antenna isn't on a tower closer to the Bay than Millersville. It does a good job of picking up traffic I can't believe you could get in Millersville. I would think it needs to be somewhere near Annapolis.

I suspect this was mostly handled using the County fire department Comm van.
Earlier in the day, I heard an aircraft patrolling the Delaware River and later calling that they would be landing at Atlantic City for fuel.

This makes sense, and they seemed to have a central command in their comms.
Interesting listening today. First time I realized AACO can put up 2 helicopters at once.

Yesterday, Medic 27 was alerted for a call in Montgomery County. Fire Alarm told them to respond on "Hotel" and a patch would be set up but shortly after they went responding, they were cancelled.

the marine radio antenna for Anne Arundel Fire is at the Greenberry Point Site
I think that was shortly before noon. I heard repeated mentions of Montgomery County but never heard the cancel. Long way for a mutual aid call.
