SDS100/SDS200: Channel Alpha Tags ?

Sorry if I missed this in my search, or in Sentinel. My SDS100 is showing the channel description from the database on screen instead of the channel alpha tag. Is there any way to switch this? The channel description is too long and doesn't fit on the screen very well.

You customize the display with Sentinel.

This might be what you're looking for. It requires Favorite Lists to be created/edited. Good video to start you in the right direction.

Dump Sentinel and get @ProScan



Proscan lets the end user select what they want to use. For Alpha, just uncheck the box and import.

Apparently Sentinel defaults to the RR Channel description instead of the Alpha tag. My TRX-2 defaults to the Alpha tag. Is there any way to change Sentinel to load the Alpha tags instead of the Channel descriptions? I still cannot find a way to do this with out hours of re-typing Alpha tags. Sentinel should have this option, if it doesn't it needs to be added. If not I suppose I will dump Sentinel as suggested above.

Proscan has a 30 day trial and you are a premium subscriber which is a plus. When you download the system in proscan and make sure the box (in my pic) is unchecked.

Since you and your scanner will be new to proscan, make sure you read the scanner into proscan first.

I suppose I will dump Sentinel as suggested above.

Do not uninstall Sentinel as it is still needed to do firmware updates and profile editing..

Sentinel does not have,use or contain the Alpha tags.

If you're trying to update your Favorite Lists by appending, it reverts back to what it's labeled in the Database, and overrides your Favorite Lists you created.

You have the ability to change these fields under the edit tab in Sentinel.

It's not a matter of changing fields. It is the fact that Sentinel only downloads the info listed in the Description columns and not the Alpha tag columns. The OP is looking to have the Alpha tags download into his radio.

@ProScan and Freescan both let you choose. I would imagine @Butelsoftware lets the user decide also.
