I’m using the original cable. Sometimes the port feels loose, other times it doesn’t. I get this message whenever I enable charge while on.

The battery itself lasts about 4-5 hours I would say now.

I had that exact same problem with mine. If I wiggled the cable at the port, it would work for a bit. The port or pins eventually became so loose that I had to send it back to Uniden for repair. After that, I went with the external charger and extra battery that has been suggested on here. I use the port only for updates and/or programming. No more port or low voltage issues.

I believe the OP’s original topic was finalized with the understanding the radio should go in for repair.
