I plead guilty to telling you to do that. Glad to hear you got it working.i had to do what someone said, install the other thing under control panel, the netframe or something it works now.
If you are seriously considering purchasing the BCD536HP, I would upgrade to the flagship SDS200 scanner with the price difference right now between the two models being less than $100. Right now for the BCD536HP Amazon is charging $500.24 (plus applicable sales tax for your location) and Scanner Master is charging $519.95 (plus approximately $20 for UPS ground shipping).
You can purchase a brand-new SDS200 on sale right now from Main Trading Company for $594.99. You simply add the SDS200 to your shopping cart and the price changes from the regular price of $699.99 to the sale price of $594.99 and that price includes FREE shipping and no sales tax is charged unless you are shipping to Texas. You will not find that $594.99 fully-delivered price for the SDS200 anywhere else right now so if you seriously would like one I would purchase immediately before the great deal disappears.
FYI the SDS200 uses the same exact Sentinel programming software as the BCD536HP and the SDS200 also can scan by using zip codes like the BCD536HP. Lastly if you listen to any radio systems that have (or develop in the future) simulcast issues, you will be all set with the SDS200. FWIW

There is a User Guide in the Wiki for FreeSCAN:I want Skagit, San Juan, Whatcom, and any other county I can get with either a basic antenna or a small booster antenna I can put on my window cell.
any tips for free scan i will be going over it later tonight once installed.
It doesn't show that Akuriko is a Premium Subscriber.Since you are a Premium Subscriber, you can use either of these programs to import specific systems and channels into a Favorites list.

I understand completely that you are very closely watching your budget to purchase your brand-new scanner. Here are some current pricing options for the BCD536HP being shipped to you in Washington State and taking into account any applicable shipping charges and Washington State 6.25% sales tax charged to your order:I want the 536hp I don't want to spend $100 more I am not a bank, if I wanted the flagship I would buy it in September or December, lol otherwise I will be buying the 536hp, not that I wouldn't want the flagship model it's just I don't bring in a lot of money, so I am going to be happy with the 536.![]()
The 536 have all the features of SDS200 but if you have simulcast systems then you probably have to go the SDS200. There's no reason why not to buy a second hand one, they don't wear out after a certain hours of use. If you have DMR and NXDN systems that you want to monitor then prepare to spend another $100 but as second hand scanner they sometimes have those systems installed.I want the 536hp I don't want to spend $100 more I am not a bank,
With minor exceptions. The SDS100/200 scanners have a color screen and you can customize the screen setup to your liking. They also can use Site NAC where the BCDx36HP scanners cannot. Also, the BCDx36HP scanners do not display the department/site quick key status. The 536 have all the features of SDS200
The BCD436HP and BCD536HP are strictly black text on a white background. They do not have color capability. You can change the color of the background on the BCD996P2. With the SDS100 and SDS200 scanners, you can set both the text and background colors.Oh and didn't the 325,996, 436, and 536 have screens you can change the colors? if it's the case why worry?
I would say that the reason for having additional NAC settings in SDS scanners are that they need to have it. It is in the same line as filters, SDS needs to have those 5 different filter settings to combat interference issues and the NAC are also there for the same reason. But it is features not needed in other scanners. They also can use Site NAC where the BCDx36HP scanners cannot.

Keep in mind that if you buy the 996XT or the BCT15X, you have to buy a programming cable from Uniden [$39.99 + shipping] or Scannermaster and SM is of them. If you have an old computer with a RS serial port, you save not having to buy the RS232 to USB cable. You may want to pay for software to program it.
If you buy the 536 for a bit more cash, you get a scanner with almost everything a listener needs and that can be programmed with a zip code.
