Yes you did.

They've been coming in all week up here in the North East.

I've been hearing them in VA lately when I'm doing portable HF and check a little higher. Yesterday afternoon I got 39.4 from San Diego. Full quieting on my IC-7300 and then I pulled out my BCD325P2 with a duckie and got the tone.

really cool to still hear them skipping around on 39mhz. I never really search low band much anymore, but this has rekindled my interest. I used to listen to some FD's up in NY state all the time when I was a kid. Think it was Binghamton on 33.9mhz maybe.

What are you guys using for antennas?
I got it using a VHF/UHF log periodic facing north from GA. I think when the skip is good they'll come in on just about anything. I remember as a kid hearing it on a radio shack discone

If you remember the Radio Shack dipole version of the ScanTenna, ST1? I have one of those that the top element broke off in a wind storm and the other elements are bent. It still works great, and I have it connected to my SDS-200 for now. I am repurposing that however, and swapping it with a 996P2 for analog skip/DXing purposes. But I also received them on my UHF yagi antenna. It doesn't take much, as the signals are usually quite strong.

CHP is always a fun skip to listen to, but sadly I get it directly as I am in the state!

Booming in here too..I added 42mhz in my search and getting some other areas like golden gate now. Amazing how you can listen to CHP from the entire state of CA from thousands of miles away.

It's been soooooo long since I've searched out this band and followed these types of conditions until recently. With my findings, I've decided to add a new department to my favourite list programming within my regular programming for whenever conditions allow. Atleast now I know who I can hear. :)

At first I thought you all were being silly, but entered the low band frequencies into my SDS 200 and by george, here in York County PA, I have been getting hits all afternoon. Simply amazing what skip can do.
