Thanks for your help. Billings Fire had a call about an hour ago. 2-4 responding units. I had perfect copy on both dispatch and every unit. All appears ok.

Billings Fire had a call last night that I received just fine.Perfect copy on CC fire dispatch and on all of the units responding. So, thanks again for your help, looks like everything is working fine.

After months of receiving this system perfectly suddenly something seems to have happened starting about 3 days ago. As background I am using a Uniden BCD436HP. I am located in Billings about 3 miles from the Clever tower to the east, and the same distance from the new Billings tower to the west. It appears that starting about 3 days ago the ONLY talk group I am receiving while scanning is 47 the Sheriff dispatch group. It comes in loud and clear using multiple different antennas. Of course before I always had good copy on all of the talk groups in the system. Anyone have any ideas what could suddenly have changed? TIA

Don’t believe anything has changed. As far as the Billings site I don’t think there much of any traffic on that site. I’ll check the system Wednesday when I’m in Springfield. What scanner are you using? I know whistler can miss a little bit on DMR as they don’t trunk track DMR

I know one of the feeds I’ve been listening to the Christian fire dispatch talk group seems to be working just fine.

I’m using a Uniden BCD436HP. It has been receiving all of the talk groups in the system just fine. I usually have all kinds of traffic on the fire dispatch talk group # 1 which is the one you are talking about I believe. There is usually almost continuous traffic on there on most days. For about 3 days now the only traffic I am hearing is the police dispatch group 47. I have not changed anything here, so this is a real puzzle for me.

Nothing has changed to my knowledge. 47 ajd 1 are supposed to light up all repeaters (I’m thinking exception is Billings site). I’ll check on Wednesday. I also check with an HP tech who lives basically right beside the clever site.

Ok, thanks. I really don’t think it is the system. I’m afraid it something on my end but I just can’t figure out what would have changed with my 436 since I basically don’t do much of anything except turn the volume up and down! 😂😂

To bring some closure here, it turns out it was the 436 that was having problems. Sent it to Uniden and they fixed it under warranty. Replaced Q3 and Q4. Had it back in 10 days from the date I sent it off. Working perfectly now.
