Phil,
I don't know about CFD yet. I drove up there last night around 10:00 and could only hear PD. I would think that FD would be on there as well as the city departments. If anyone in Claremore with an LTR trunking scanner or not could advise the group that would be great. If I find out anything else I'll let you and everyone else know.

I know this question was asked, but did find it. Can you hear PD talk on a Conventional Scanner. Because I haven’t' heard anything on the frequencies listed on my old scanner. I did just program my Pro 92, so will see what happens.

Ed,

I don't think it will make a big difference right now if you have an LTR scanner or not. We have to find out the LCN order for any other scanners other then the Pro-92 so you may be okay. For those who don't have and LTR scanner just program the frequencies from lowest to highest and you should be okay for now. The onlt frequency I noticed being used was the 460.4625 for PD and that may be the system's home repeater. I'll let you know more as I get it.

on my OLD regency 453.5875 came through clear as a bell (something about a clogged drain..)
but 460.4625 comes out garbled and weak for me and I haven`t heard anything on the other freq.

I don`t know if I should be posting this but if not I guess one of the mods can edit it.
but I was up at the local gunshop and I thought it was my scanner that was causeing all my problems to why I wasn`t geting very good reception but it wasn`t me, aparently CPD is having lots of problems with their system and some times switch back to the old freq,as some radios won`t work on the new freq and some cars can`t recieve close to the outside of town...

Hey Twister, Your post was just fine. It's good that you post things like that so we can keep updated on what agencies are using different radios for whatever reason. It sounds like the typical birth of a new trunked radio system. They seem to all start off with growing pains but are corrected with the right radio tec and time. Keep us updated...

I heard an officer switch back over to the old frequency (154.025) around 00:15 on 1-May, saying that he was having problems on the new system. I have only picked up one talk group so far this morning, 013101. It appears to be the main police dispatch talk group. This TG has calls being dispatched as well as registration and license information returns. The only frequency that I observed this TG stopping on was 460.4625 Mhz. Reception location is German Corner (Owasso, OK).

ok thanks I`m a total "noob" when it comes to scanners. :) but I`m learning....
460.4625 sometimes comes through clear and other times rather weak, some officers I have heard at times have to switch back to the old freq, also some of the other new channels I hear "someone say test at times" by the way newbie question here? what does talk group 013101 mean??? how do you program that into a scanner????

Talkgroup ID's are Trunking related ID's within the system itself. You have to have a trunktracking capable scanner to enter that information into it. RS PRO-2051 @ $149.00 is a good starter scanner for trunking at a relative good price. The ID's allow the systems to get more "bang for their buck" so to speak by letting them group a lot of activity on lesser actual Frequencies. It helps separate the different users of the system by giving them an ID number so that the water dept doesn't interfere with the PD and so on. When scanning with a conventional scanner you will hear everything in no particular order. It is what makes listening in Tulsa hard to do on a non trunking scanner because you can't follow the conversation.
