The Clay County system is a Multi-net system so you won't be able to track it with the current scanners on the market.Shep

i know.. rackin frackin multinet.. i have a johnson 8565 that supports multinet (same radio they carry lol) that i wanted to set up to listen to them (assuming i can hunt down the johnson programming cable)

i currently listen to the system on an old TK-930.. im a manual tracker lol.. most of the time it works good, i guess there ususally inst enough traffic for the home repeaters to be busy when i usally listen. (heck i listen to the jax system with a johnson 8615.. talk about keeping me on my toes.. that speaker hates the ASTRO digital hehe)

every time i think about buying a trunked scanner of some sort, i find out what i want to listen to isnt compatable with it.

I know alot of the detectives and sargents, i wonder if they could get it programmed for recieve only..

I would give it a try.All they can say is no!! My sister lives out in Clay county and I listen to them ,but the system from Brunswick always pops up with their Motorola control channels ,so I end up locking out everything and forget to unlock the stuff later.Shep

Hey Folks,

I don't have the talkgroups for clay county. There is and will be new information under clay county for you scanner listeners out there. Just though I would tell you.

Just a hint for you scanner listeners in Clay County. What I have done with me being on the fire department and not being able to trunk our system is, I have locked out all my channels in my scanner except for Clay Fire 1 (dispatch) Putnam County dispatch, TAC 1, and TAC 2 (not on 800MHz system), Bradford Fire County TAC 1/dispatch and Bradford Fire TAC 4, and Keystone Heights Volunteer Fire Department Ch. # 4, and our 800Mhz system. It does work pretty good. I am able to hear the fire department communications no matter what talk group they are on. You hardly ever hear Clay County Sheriff's Office, Orange Park PD and Green Cove Springs PD (you still will hear them occasionally, just not all the time). The only time that I unlock any other channels is when I leave my county and can only hear the initial dispatch, but not the 800MHz system. My 800MHz frequencies are also in conventional mode.
