Here is a vid that clearly demonstrates the clicking issue:

I was going to take my 100 to a P25 conventional system a county away. What firmware can you revert to that does not have the issue? From what I can gather from the issue presented in the video sounds electrical.I just created a favorites list with two systems programmed in conventional and OFT. I'm monitoring it now and will report back. Of course there is very little traffic rn, any other time it would be constant.
I’ve not tried this myself, but it was reported that going back to 1.23.07 fixed the issue.I was going to take my 100 to a P25 conventional system a county away. I would agree that this sounds like an electrical issue, or a modem too close to the SDS 200, or something else transmitting that "pulsating clicking" sound around the house/apartment, especially since it's isolated to the SDS 200.@jasonhouk I get the clicking noise with both conventional and OFT programming. I went back to my regular programming and set the digital waiting time to zero. That did not help. This only seems to happen with the SDS200. My SDS100 doesn't make the clicking noise on the same firmware and with conventional programming. v1.23.20 main/ v1.03.15 sub.
I would tend to agree however, this started right after a firmware update and another member here went back to an earlier firmware and the issue went away. I’ve also run this scanner off a battery during a power outage and had the clicks. Several other owners have experienced this issue as well.I would agree that this sounds like an electrical issue, or a modem too close to the SDS 200, or something else transmitting that "pulsating clicking" sound around the house/apartment, especially since it's isolated to the SDS 200.

As has been mentioned, it does not occur with firmware 1.23.07. But reverting to this earlier version does strip away other improvements made in the two versions that followed it.I would agree that this sounds like an electrical issue, or a modem too close to the SDS 200, or something else transmitting that "pulsating clicking" sound around the house/apartment, especially since it's isolated to the SDS 200.
UJE is inquiring how the system is programmed into the favorites list? Conventional or One Frequency Trunk? Can reply along with the link to the FCC license shown here on RR to the channel in the video.Okay I think I have this narrowed down. It is on all P25 conventional systems I monitor which are at least a half dozen. The clicking starts right after the P25 voice drops and the LINK data starts. The click continues until the LINK drops or is interrupted by P25 voice. Sometimes, the LINK will blink along with the signal strength bars in the upper right corner of the display. @ColdnFrosty video shows exactly what I’m describing. The only P25 trunked system I can monitor from home is the Maine Comm Network which is a statewide system. On that system when P25 drops LINK is very briefly displayed before switching to DATA. I only hear one click.
How would I get an earlier version of the firmware. I’d liked to return one SDS200 to the earlier version and run them side by side.
I'm just commenting on the video. I never heard that before, nor have I had that issue. Hopefully you'll get it resolved. Good luck..As has been mentioned, it does not occur with firmware 1.23.07. Thank you for the video the Beta Team and UJE are working on the issue and we are requestion how the system is programmed into the favorites list? Conventional or One Frequency Trunk? Exactly! BTW, I could not revert to 1.23.07 after installing 1.23.20. The radio wouldn't scan properly.Okay I think I have this narrowed down. That just happens to be the one channel for the example. But it happens on all the P25 channels - for example the NH State Police and others. I did not program the frequencies. I use Zip Code.Thank you for the video the Beta Team and UJE are working on the issue and we are requestion how the system is programmed into the favorites list? Conventional or One Frequency Trunk? Make sure you're also installing the Sub CPU for that firmware.Exactly! BTW, I could not revert to 1.23.07 after installing 1.23.20. The radio wouldn't scan properly.
I was thinking that. Thought it would install automatically.Make sure you're also installing the Sub CPU for that firmware.
I think the Sub CPU should be 1.03.05.I was thinking that. Thought it would install automatically.
It does not appear to be available for download. The link just returns to the same page.I think the Sub CPU should be 1.03.05.
