189x are transit IDs

So I guess nobody knows what the other four digit IDs are.

I just label them "Test" and lock them out.

All I ever hear is "Test".

New CT Transit groups and testing private calls.
They are not Municipal groups so they do not follow the Tax Town format.
It says TGID but means Private Call when the lower case "i" is in front of the radios in various scanners or decoding programs.

TGID:i1899201 (SRC) i1892055 (DST)
i = private call
189 = CTTransit
9201 = Control Station
(SRC) = Source
and (DST) = Destination

At one time, private calls could only be initiated by a dispatcher, I suspect it is the same way (with a few exceptions). It isn't like Hartford EDACS where every radio can call any other radio directly.
