I’ve noticed when using Close Call in the VHF Hi range, that it stops on freqs around 177 MHz frequently. This band is/was used in the TV broadcast 7-13 channels. With digital television going on now, is this band still used for this?
I wish they would have topped that band at 175 MHz because trying to run Close Call on it is pretty much useless because it constantly stops at freqs around 177 in my area. And yes, I know I can select Avoid for every one that pops up, but that’s annoying, because there are many because it’s wide band!
with most of the unidens you can set up a screen on bands/frequencies that you don't want.
turning the screen on means you won't hear them.
you could try the 174 to 220 freqs.
as i gave this a better thought.
under search/close call options.
there is a setting to block/screen UHF TV and VHF TV.
turn it on to block signals in that range.

For me I turn on Pager, FM, UHF TV, VHF TV, NOAA WX and have several of the custom bands set like the ham bands and P25 trunking input frequencies which for me in this area are 806-812 MHz. You can create ten custom bands that Close Call will avoid latching onto.
