Cobb Co PD / Ops 1 & Ops 2

I am hearing traffic stops on Ops 1 and related traffic on Ops 2.

Admittedly I haven't tracked the unit i.d.'s which would help... I'm usually driving when I listen.

Since I'm not hearing traffic on the main STEP channel, wondering if that who's using Ops 1.

Quite a bit of traffic on both channels. Someone on Ops 2 made a significant bust on a stop late this afternoon. Couple pounds of contraband.

This has been going on for some time now, i remember reading about the team creation somewhere...what you are hearing is a sort of a strike force of officers targeting certain areas doing traffic stops and making arrests and cleaning house. They do have a dispatcher dedicated to that channel when they are active and there's some good action to be heard sometimes...lots of stops, surveillance and general chit chat about operations.
