Make sure the target is set to SDS200, and I suspect you're not on the right tab or your scanner is set to Detail mode when writing back.Yup and it’s saved and there but when u go back to scan and scan you’re trunk it’s default colors

Oh...is it working now? What did you do?got it thanks
No problem. Glad you got it the way you want it now. Saved a call to Uniden!Got it! I was in wrong screen! 😞 Sorry

No...think of it this way: If you go to file..save on top of Sentinel, it saves any programming changes you made. If you save in the "display box", then you're saving ONLY the display changes you made. Each display tab saves to the display you use. Once you successfully do it a couple times, it will all make sense.“Are you clicking SAVE prior to sending the changes? SAVE is on the bottom of box. Click on Simple Trunk tab and take a look.”
That’s one place to Save (which I didn’t see and therefore didn’t use). I saved my custom colored screen to Profile. It worked for me. I would have thought both places would park your custom setting in Profile but if you used the Save button on the bottom of the box without saving to profile also, and had no success, maybe it’s saving to some place else… possibly creating a file for a work in progress, not yet ready to save to Profile?
Make sure that you have the correct Target model selected. If it is at the default 'Preset', Sentinel presumes its it is one of the BCDx36HP scanners, not the SDS series.Yup and it’s saved and there but when u go back to scan and scan you’re trunk it’s default colors

Your post makes sense. As you say, the “Save” in the box SHOULD be necessary to save for that particular screen (simple, detailed, etc.). And THEN go to File at the top of the Sentinel screen and Save to Profile. But I never saved my custom screen for each display tab… just the Profile. And when I go back to change something, I get my custom version, not the default version. But to be absolutely sure what I did works, I will customize one of the displays again to see if I did check off the Save box first and somehow forgot I did. I will post my findings here.
As I posted, if I make any changes to the Display, then the Save in the Display box must be checked in order to write to the scanner.I must correct my understanding of HOW the customized display settings are saved AND then written to the scanner in Sentinel… I must have Saved in the Display box first because Sentinel won’t let me update under the File tab until I first exit out of the Display box. And one of the ways that’s done is to Save it first. Anyone who tried my original understanding of HOW to save your new custom display would have seen this. (What happens if I only Save it in the Display box and NOT update my Profile or File? I don’t know, Maybe saving it in my Profile is an unnecessary step. Maybe saving it in the Display box is all that is needed. But it works. At least I got rid of that lousy mustard color and used the day-glow offerings instead.
