Could someone tell me what the computer generated noise
is on the bell fleetnet system
Can you stop the noise?
My scanner keeps locking up on the noise
Thanks

Does it go away when you turn off your computer?

A couple questions:

Are you attempting to monitor digital traffic with an analog scanner?
Are you attempting to monitor encrypted traffic?

Those are the only two 'computer generated' noises I can think of on Fleetnet, other than the sound of the control channel. What scanner are you using? Which site? Where does the noise seem the strongest, as in physical location?

Sounds like your trying to listen to a digital system with an analog scanner.

Program in only the TGID's you wish to listen to,so you don't get the digital talkgroups.

You can also program in any digital TGID's,and then lock them out so they don't come in anymore.

Bingo. There you go. You'll have to lock out the digital talkgroups or your 235 will buzz like that every time a non-analog talkgroup comes up.

The BC235 is not capable of tracking VHF trunking...it is being scanned
conventionally. There is no way to get rid of the digital talkgroup noise.
The control channel can be locked out, but scanning this way is very
limited.

Winpa: time to read up on "Trunking 101" and decide if you want to
upgrade.
