All.....we've got developers building on a golf course behind our house. We've actually got to move our fence 10 feet in, because they apparently need every square inch of the 200+ acres they purchased...I digress. Needless to say, they are literally "in my back yard", and I'd like to keep an ear on them. I've got the Common Business Frequencies for SC programmed in. Are there any other frequencies that are used by construction/heavy machinery crews? I'm running a fully unlocked SDS200. Thanks.

do you have any names of the companies working? Read the sides of the trucks and look at what radios the crews are walking around with.

They're all in bull dozers and graders that are not marked. I think I caught a transmission on the brown dot freq. The guys I've seen walking around don't have anything on them. It all gets left in the machinery when they get out.

drive around to the construction entrance and see if any names are written on the pick up trucks or the tractor trailers....that's a good start.

Often times there will be multiple different radios, contractors have theirs and subs have different radios. Also, many sites are just using cellphones now.

They are a sub. I found these guys on Brown Dot and Blue Star. They are knocking down trees and grading. When the dump trucks come in, I'll have to keep looking.

I've got close call enabled now and I'm not getting anything new. The guy behind my house is using Brown Dot (464.500). When I say he's in my back yard, I'm not kidding.

Might want to give FleetTalk NXDN a try, in the Lexington Columbia Area there are dump trucks, concrete etc. construction debris haulers on there.

I finally purchased the NXDN upgrade from my SDS100 this past weekend as I am starting to see more and more NXDN users.
