I will ask if the OFT channel requires that full second or if evaluating it for a shorter period of time would miss some data. IOW, if it can be done faster I will request that.

Delay can/must be set per TG on digital channels. There is information about active TG's once each 360mS on the voice channel. The TRX hold/pause will hold on to the TG and scans the remaining channels on that site, including the control channel. The TG isn't displayed during that time...
