just an observation from my weekend trip down south.

There is a new site reporting via DSD+ for this system that is not in the RR Db --- Site 1.6 on 866.625

someone down there might want to take a listen and see if something has changed and if this is accurate, please submit a change to the database.

A friend in the area noted this site being reported months ago, however be aware that 866.625 is no longer a valid frequency post-rebanding. Did you actually receive a control channel on that frequency, or it only appeared in the adjacent site lists of the other sites? I suspect that it was setup in the zone controller, but doesn't actually physically exist.

I didn't "see" this site until I reviewed the data after departing the area - so short answer, No - didn't see it in actual use. Good call on post-rebanding... I didn't even think of that, but you are dead on.

Could someone please help me in identifying if a police department is simulcast?
I’m asking about the city of Plantation in Broward County, Florida. Some on the forum are saying it’s simulcast others are not.

Plantation is not simulcast. They utilize a single tower for TX.

Last night Coral Springs Fire Dispatch was advising R109 to go to Car to Car to speak with R42. Does Coral Springs Fire have a Car to Car channel? If so, what it is? It is not their Tac 1. I scanned all of their Tac channels trying to locate the conversation and was unable.

It's P25, it transmits the Motorola channel number with each channel grant, no special bandplan needed. I'm listening to Fort Lauderdale right now in P25 Phase 1 on an ancient BCD996T, works fine.

it's one of the default bandplans for 700/800 - info in the RR dB has been updated.

that said, I discourage anyone in Florida who doesn't know EXACTLY what they are doing from using NAS, especially in South Florida. The radio >WILL< get inhibited if it is seen on many of those systems without authorization.

Programming was completed. The radio was set to never register, and all transmit boxes are unchecked. Using Enhanced CC with Widearea scan enabled. Thank you everyone!
