Corpus Christi Halo Flight/ Police Helicopter Help

Does anybody know the freqs. for the Corpus Christi Halo-Flight or Police Helicopter (if their is one)?

RESCUE4NFD
gave me this, but I am not sure how to put in EDACS System.ID with my Pro-97
Halo-Flight is on the Corpus Christi EDACS System.ID(05-104) Halo-Flight

I have a Pro-97 scanner, if anyone knows how I can put in that EDACS System.ID numbers, I would like it if you would let me know.

Thanks.

I really don't under stand how to set up talk groups.

Don't you need a freq. to set up a talk group?

I'm trying to get Win97 program to work, so it will be easier, but it isn't working right now.

Thanks tho.

Croaker90,

If I remember correctly, I think you said that you were having problems un-zipping
WIN 97....?? If you haven't already, you'll need either WinRar, 7-zip, or Win Zip,
to unzip WIN 97. Just Google for them. If you already have one of the above programs
installed and are still having problems unzipping WIN 97, describe as best you can
exactly what the problem seems to be. If you can get the software working I can help
walk you through how to use it. It's pretty easy to use.

Yes, I was, but I got it working now. Thanks anyways.

I'm just trying to get these talkgroups to work.

I'm reading from these sites, but I don't quite understand.

I'm going to try the program, see if it is esier to put in talkgroups.
Can you listen to the freqs. on the Win97?

I will soon videotape what I am doing and put it on here and see if anyone can see what I am doing wrong.

I'll give it a few more tries first.

Croaker90,

I'm attaching a screen shot of WIN 97, with my EDACS setup for the
city of Irving. See if that will help you understand the placement of
frequencies and talkgroups in WIN 97. I had to place it in a zip file
because of size restrictions. I couldn't upload it directly as a jpeg
because it was more that 800x800 in size.

As to your other question, no you can't listen to frequencies with Win 97.
I presume your referring to virtual control. Like with the ARC software and
Uniden software. Which allows you to listen and control your scanner with the software.

Thanks ce!!

Now I am understanding it more. I didn't know about the AFS, I was looking for the place you put the "-" in but I couldn't find it.

What is LCN order?

I'm trying to do this in my scanner now, as I don't have the USB for my scanner.

Logical Channel Number, or LCN, is primarly used to define frequencies in use on M/A-COM EDACS systems and LTR systems. For both systems Frequencies must be placed in the correct order corresponding to the LCN to scan the systems. Say the first freq in the CC EDACS is 856.43750 off the shoreline tower...that freq will need to be programmed into slot #01...856.9375 must be programmed into slot #02 and so on down the line until you have them in the correct order

Ok, I got all the freqs. for Shoreline in on my channels list. Starting at #01 and ending at #15.

Now entering the Talkgroups.

287 02-037 A ID-CRIMESCEN Crime scene and identification division Law Tac
305 02-061 A TRAFFIC Traffic Division Law Tac
306 02-062 D SPEC SERV1 Special Services? Law Tac
307 02-063 A TRAFIC-2 Traffic Division car-to-car Law Tac
737 05-121 A SWAT-1 SWAT 1 Law Tac

I want CrimeScene in talkgroup, and traffic divisons, and SWAT

NOTE: I skipped down like 20 talkgroups when I went to SWAT. Is that acceptable? Or do I have to enter ALL the talkgroups?

Right now I'm listening to a possible bank robbery in Rocktport. A Stripes employee seen two males in black go into Prosperity Bank and came out with two black bags and took off. Police searching for the truck right now.

just a heads up anything with a D listed in the mode column is digital and you will need a digital scanner to listen to those talk groups...the 97 is not a digial scanner so you will only be able to listen to anything with a A in the mode column for analog.

OK, Thanks.

I put in 30 talkgroups from 0-29

I will put a image of them on here in about 5mins so check back in a sec.

NOTE: I Did NOT put the talkgroups in order. I skipped a few here and there, tell me if it will still work even though I skipped some Talkgroups. I did put in all the Shoreline freqs. in order.

Let me get the images.

Ok here are my images. Check the areas I have circled in RED and tell me if they look correct please.

Are my FLEETMAPS good to go? Are they all aspose to be at "S00"

Here is site I got talkgroups from. I'm using the shoreline freqs.
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=17

I got most talkgroups from Law Enforcement, but I put in about 4 at bottom for Fire and Rescue.

Please let me know if you see anything WRONG circled in RED. Thanks.

Here are a few talkgroups in Lawenforcement I put in talkgroup. Red lined ones are ones I put in. Starting with CrimeScene and going down. (Will it still work if I skip talkgroups?)

talk groups aren't like programming in the freq's so you can just enter in the ones you want to listen to and not enter the rest

Ok thanks.

That is what I been trying to get past my head.

I finally understand trunking, talkgroups, and EDACS now.

Still don't know how to put talkgroups on my SCANNER manuely, but I think it will work when I buy my cable for the PC-SCANNER.

Anyone know what they cost? Its a PC/IF USB Cable. I'm going to hit the RadioShack website, and see what I can find.

Thank you for your help Boulder, ce2576, and FLASHswt
