If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have used the GP300 series CPS on the GP380 but cannot get it to work on the GP360. Does anyone know if that software will work on the GP360 and if the HT1250 cable will work with the GP?

Thanks, I don't normally deal with the GP series.

The HT1250 cable should work for the GP360, not sure on the software, as I have never used that software, what problem are you having programming it? Do you get an error on read/write?

I know, but that's the name of the software...
Old Radius GP300 series are using DOS software.

I also use the GP300 cps on my GP380, it works fine. It should also work great with the GP360, as it basically is the same radio without full keypad.
Your problem MAY be that the 360 has a newer firmware. New CPS works with old firmware, but old CPS don't work with new firmware.
What kind of error do you get?
